Network Engineer (OT) - Hybrid, UK, Contract Opportunity

A large global organisation is looking for a Network Engineer to join its Operational Technology (OT) team.

This will be an initial 6-12 months+ contract with the opportunity for multiple extensions.

The role will be work on a hybrid basis (UK Based).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain and optimise OT network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, resilience and security.
• Configure and manage network devices including Switches, Routers, Firewalls and edge networking equipment.
• Investigate and resolve complex network incidents, providing 2nd line technical expertise where required.
• Support the deployment, commissioning and ongoing enhancement of OT network solutions across multiple sites.
• Work closely with OT engineers, project teams and third-party vendors to deliver network infrastructure projects and upgrades.

• Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and Firewall configuration.
• Experience configuring and supporting enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Fortinet or similar).
• Comfortable troubleshooting complex network issues using command-line tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Azure environments.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, performance analysis and infrastructure best practices.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and structured change management processes.
• Full UK driving licence, valid passport and willingness to travel when required.
