Our Future Health is an ambitious collaboration between the public, charity and private sectors, designed to help people live healthier lives for longer through better prevention, earlier detection and improved treatment of diseases. We will speed up the discovery of new methods of early disease detection, and the evaluation of new diagnostic tools, to help identify and treat diseases early, when outcomes are usually better. With over 2.5M volunteers across the UK, we're now the world's biggest health research programme of its kind, and our volunteer group is also more diverse than other similar health research programmes. Technology and data are central to our mission. Our systems power web sites, clinics across the UK, secure analytics and research systems, pipelines that process highly sensitive health and genetic data, and we are continuing to grow our data science capability to support this ambition. Through our newly launched Clinical Research Recruitment Service, we enable clinical research teams to find the right participants, faster. As this service grows, we have a unique opportunity to transform proven, expert-led recruitment workflows into scalable technology that enhances, rather than replaces, clinical judgement. Our ambition is to deliver increasingly seamless recruitment experiences for customers by building data led capabilities that capture what works best today and make it repeatable, reliable, and scalable tomorrow. In the near term, this means building better data foundations and tools that support expert-led recruitment as it works today. As we learn what can be reliably standardised, these capabilities will increasingly support more streamlined and self service ways of working for customers. Senior Data Scientist will help turn this ambition into reality by shaping the data foundations and technical capabilities we build. You will bring a strong understanding of clinical recruitment workflows and apply it to the design of data products, analytical services, and enabling infrastructure. Working closely with engineers and scientific and operational experts, you will help guide how our recruitment technology evolves, ensuring it delivers immediate value while positioning us for long term scale. What you'll do Work closely with science, data and engineering teams to understand how recruitment feasibility and cohort selection are delivered in practice, and how customers engage with these outputs Help translate existing recruitment workflows into clear data and technical requirements, supporting engineers to build capabilities that reflect operational and user needs Contribute to the development of data products and services that underpin recruitment delivery, from internal tools used by expert teams through to capabilities that may later support customer facing workflows Build and maintain production quality code, with a focus on trust, transparency, and fitness for use in a regulated environment Support early prototyping and iterative delivery, using hands on experience to inform what is ready to be standardised, automated, or scaled Define and document data requirements and pipeline logic, assumptions, and quality checks, working with others to ensure recruitment outputs remain reliable, interpretable and auditable as usage grows Collaborate with governance, privacy and compliance colleagues to ensure ethical, regulatory and data protection requirements are embedded into how data is used and shared Share insights from delivery, customer interactions and data usage to help inform priorities and sequencing as recruitment technology evolves over time This role will be fully hybrid with the expectation we get together in our Holborn, London office at least once per month. Acting as a key technical decision maker, balancing trade offs, managing risk, and ensuring long term maintainability and platform health across interconnected systems. Designing, developing, and deploying infrastructure components such as networks, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration workflows, acting as a hands on technical leader and setting best practice patterns for others to follow. Producing high quality system diagrams, documentation, and design artefacts, maintaining high standards of accuracy, clarity, and diligence. Implementing and evolving monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities to provide real time system insight, enable proactive issue detection, and optimise uptime. Developing and standardising secure build processes for end user devices, ensuring consistent integration with public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, supported by clear documentation and reusable workflows. Championing modern Agile and DevOps practices, influencing ways of working across teams, improving feedback loops, and raising the quality and predictability of infrastructure delivery. Principal Infrastructure Engineer Department: Engineering Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Bristol, UK We're building the UK's next generation engineering powerhouse, providing critical technology that strengthens national security and resilience. We specialise in turning advances in sensing, AI, and communications into operational capability for the edge, where connectivity may be degraded or denied. Our work focuses on accelerating the deployment of technology, improving decision-making for frontline teams, and protecting people and critical assets in demanding environments. Headquartered in Bristol, Rowden employs around 160 people and operates over 20,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing facilities. We have a growing international footprint and are one of Europe's fastest-growing engineering businesses. Technical Leadership in Infrastructure & Applications As part of this journey, we are scaling our Infrastructure & Applications capability. This function builds intelligent, resilient, and private solutions from the cloud to the far-edge, ensuring robust and secure operations for our clients. As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will act as a senior technical authority across Rowden's portfolio of projects, products, tools, and systems - including those relied upon by hundreds of deployed users and critical internal capabilities. You will collaborate closely with engineers, delivery teams, and customers, tackling complex technology challenges in demanding environments. This role is hands on, fast paced, and impact driven. You will provide technical leadership through architectural decision making, system design, and deep engineering expertise, guiding teams through uncertainty and enabling the delivery of robust, mission focused solutions. For the right person, this is an exceptional opportunity to shape infrastructure platforms and engineering standards in a growing, high trust organisation. You will bring broad, applicable knowledge across domains including workload virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, Linux operating systems, advanced networking concepts, and hyper converged infrastructure (HCI). Experience with high availability systems, fault tolerant architectures, and software defined networking (e.g. SD WAN) is highly valuable. Strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication with technical and non technical stakeholders, and the ability to decompose complex systems into manageable technical workstreams are essential. While this role offers hybrid working options, it requires a minimum of 3 days per week on site at our Bristol HQ, with occasional travel to customer sites. Candidates must be willing to obtain UK National Security Vetting clearance, with SC required and DV desirable. More information about security clearance is available here: Key areas of responsibility As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer at Rowden, you will be responsible for: Owning and assuring infrastructure architecture and design, ensuring privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance, and resilience across all infrastructure capabilities, including cloud environments, applications, and security and service platforms. Scoping and shaping complex infrastructure initiatives, providing technical leadership during context alignment, architectural decision making, and execution to deliver solutions that meet demanding operational and regulatory requirements. Maintaining and optimising infrastructure platforms, including configuration management, system upgrades, and the implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and scalability. Mentoring and coaching engineers across the organisation, providing technical guidance, review, and example to support professional growth and improve overall engineering capability. Key skills, experience and behaviours We are looking for someone passionate about technology who actively invests in their technical skills and abilities alongside: A degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or a related discipline. Proven ability to provide technical leadership and influence engineering direction, operating autonomously in complex and ambiguous environments. Extensive experience as an infrastructure engineer, with strong understanding of networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, and virtualisation technologies. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g. Python, Bash) and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar, with a strong preference for infrastructure as code practices. The Tyk API Management platform is helping to drive the connected world and power new products and services. We're changing the way that organisations connect any number of their systems and services.Whether internal, external, public or highly encrypted systems, Tyk helps businesses drive value across the retail, finance, telecoms, healthcare, or media industries (to name just a few!) If you've banked online, used an app to check the news, or perhaps even driven a connected car, API's, and by extension, Tyk, make that possible. Founded in 2015 with offices in London - UK, London - Ontario, Atlanta and Singapore, we have many thousands of users of our B2B platform across the globe. Brands using Tyk range from Lotte, Bell, T Mobile, to RBS, Capital One and Vinci. We have a varied user base hailing from every continent - even Antarctica. Total flexibility, default remote, radical responsibility We offerunlimited paid holidays and remote working from anywhere in the world , for everyone. Why? Tyk was founded on the principle of offering flexibility and autonomy to our employees, we believe this allows our employees to achieve their best results. It also means we can build the best possible team, location and working hours are no barrier. If this sounds like an environment that you believe could work for you then read on to find out more. The role: We want developers to recommend Tyk to their companies without being asked - and this role is central to that. We're looking for a Junior Developer Advocate to build Tyk's presence in the communities where developers are already talking about API management, AI, AI governance, and modern infrastructure. This isn't a polished marketing role. It's a platform-building role for someone early in their career who will roll up their sleeves, learn things in public, create content as they go, and show up at the meetups and conferences where real practitioners gather. We fund the travel and the stages; you build a real personal profile in the API and AI space. You'll be writing, recording, talking, and travelling across Europe. You'll cover the topics developers actually care about - API management, AI and API governance, observability, real implementation stories - and grow into a recognisable, trusted voice in the space. We'll invest in your profile as much as Tyk's, because we think they're the same thing. This is a genuine learning opportunity and a strong foundation for a career in developer relations. If you're looking for a stable content treadmill, this isn't it. If you're hungry, happy to earn your reputation at a scrappy, fast-moving startup, and want to become a known name in the developer community - keep reading. What you'll be responsible for: Create content Produce regular written and video content on API management, AI and API governance, observability, and real customer implementation stories. Publish hands on tutorials, how-tos, and ecosystem guides that enable developers to find the solutions they are looking for (think Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, OAS, GraphQL, MCP and the AI/API intersection). Learn in public - share what you're figuring out as you go, rough edges and all. Show up in the community Attend and speak at developer meetups and conferences across Europe, growing Tyk's visibility and goodwill through authentic, in person engagement. Be a genuine, friendly presence in developer communities online and off - the kind people trust because you're real, not polished. Feed community insight back into our product and marketing teams. Own developer marketing channels Take ownership of specific developer marketing channels (for example, our YouTube, blog, or community spaces like Reddit) - you'll run them, grow them, and be accountable for them. Experiment, measure what's working, and aren't afraid to try things that might not. What we're looking for: Above all, the right attitude: enthusiastic, hungry to learn, a great communicator, and not afraid to try things and put your work out into the world. Enough technical grounding to read code, understand architecture, and get your hands dirty - however you learned it. A CS degree is welcome but not required. Some experience creating content - writing, video, or talks - even if it's personal projects or university work. Comfortable speaking to small groups; meetups and community events should excite you, not fill you with dread. A creator's instinct - you want to make things and share them. Genuine curiosity about APIs, AI, AI governance, and where the infrastructure space is heading. Happy to travel regularly across Europe as part of the role. Self directed and energized by a small, fast moving team. AI native: you use AI regularly and know the difference between AI assisted and AI slop. Nice to have An existing presence in developer communities - a blog, YouTube channel, GitHub, or a talk or two. Hands on experience with Kubernetes, observability tooling, or CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with API management concepts. Why you should join us: Everyonehas unlimited paid holiday. We have total flexibility in hours, as we believe creativity flows better when our people are given freedom to decide whentheyare most productive. Everyone is unique after all. Employee share scheme Generous maternity and paternity leave Company retreats We all share the same vision - we value authenticity, respect, responsibility, independence, honesty, diversity and inclusion and most importantly treating others how you wish to be treated. We look for like minded people who bring their personalities to work everyday, strive to achieve their personal goals and who are willing to challenge the way we do things, why? - to make what we do even better! It's ok to screw up We've found that it's often the 'stupid' or unexpected ideas that turn out to be the successful ones - so try it, at least we can say we have. The only stupid idea, is the untested one It's in our DNA - starting a business with founders 12 hours apart, giving our gateway away for free - sure, we did that, and we'd do it again. Trust starts with you - make it count Trust is a two way street - instil it from day one. We have each other's back - we're all on the same team. Think before you speak or act. Make things, better Always try to leave things better than when you found them - change is constant, inevitable and embraced! Be that change we want to see. Always try to leave things better than when you found them - change is constant, inevitable and embraced! Be that change we want to see. Tyk isan equal opportunities employerand we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.

We help over a million members put down roots, save for what matters, and feel good about their money. As a mutual, they own us, so everything we do is for them. You'll feel that same fairness and purpose in how all 2,500 of our colleagues work together, too. It all means that life at Skipton is more exciting than you imagine. What it's like to work here Life at Skipton We talk and we listen to each other. And we make decisions as a team. That way, you get all the support you need to do work that works for everyone. For most of our roles there's the option of blended working, which means we mix working from home and meeting in person. The right balance depends on your role, and what works best for you, your manager, and your team. We also value what everyone brings to Skipton. And we create a fair place where you can be yourself. Our colleague networks play a big role in this. They connect people with similar life experiences and make our workplace warm, friendly, inclusive and welcoming. It's not just our members who are important to us. You are, too. Lots of organisations talk about wellbeing, but they don't always back it up. As a mutual, we put people first. And that includes the people who work here. So, when we say we care about your wellbeing, we mean it. Wellbeing isn't just one thing. It's about feeling good, having energy, and being able to be yourself and perform at your best. That's why we offer help for your mental and physical health across five key areas. What's more, it's help that you can actually use too - not just read about. Not just another building society. Not just another job. We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organization. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members. Our colleagues say Skipton's a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do. Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future. Why? It's just the way we are. Our story began in 1853 in Skipton, North Yorkshire. Today, you'll find us across England and Scotland, from Aberdeen to Plymouth. We care about sustainability and look to the long term for both colleagues and customers. And we know that when we build better futures as individuals, we build better futures as a business.

We are on a mission to develop great technology products, deliver great services, and protect the trust our people and clients place in us. We have installed a new operating system for ourselves, and rebooted what was a corporate IT department into a corporate technology company, transforming the way we work. Now we are building for the next era of work. AI is becoming part of the fabric of how Baringa operates, and we are developing the products and platforms that will help colleagues find knowledge, act on insight, navigate complexity, and get work done with greater speed, quality, and confidence. Some of this will be visible through intelligent experiences and agentic systems. Some of it will sit beneath the surface: data products, workflow platforms, integrations, automations, cyber security, governance, and the architecture that makes all of it safe, scalable, resilient, and useful. So much to build on, so much to progress. So much to deliver. So much to play for! Do you know what though? We are going to do it. All of it and more. We have the support to drive change. We have the belief. We are going to do great things. Come and join us! Having a heavy involvement in our ServiceNow roadmap alongside our developers. Creation of user stories, enhancements, defects and feature request that help shape how we deliver improvements and digital transformation across the business. An involvement in workshops, training and UAT for both colleagues and the wider business. Extending your scope to other team domains, with an initial focus on IT Services (our largest team in the Run domain) and aide us on our journey to be process-driven end-to-end. Map, document and re-design processes. Some of these processes will make it back to our ServiceNow COE to be automated, some will be mapped as-is and some will require people or process changes rather than technology changes - you will be key in all of it. Working across Plan, Build and Run. Simply put this means being able to shift between planning stages, business-as-usual and project related work. Be a champion of both Operational Excellence and ServiceNow COE. Automation, AI, Deflection and UX should be top of mind always. Help us to make data- driven-decisions. Our Operational Excellence team are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team. Baringa has grown so fast, and it continues to grow rapidly. Those new joiners keep on coming! We are a global function supporting the firm as it enters new markets. We are re-architecting and evolving our cloud-based business systems and infrastructure. What you will be doing The Operational Excellence team sits within Technology & Cyber and acts as the bridge between process excellence and the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence. This is a highly visible role with the freedom to shape your own remit, influence how we work, and drive continuous improvement across the function. You'll work alongside the Head of Operational Excellence and the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence, partnering with stakeholders across Technology & Cyber to solve problems, streamline processes, improve service outcomes, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives. The role offers broad exposure, significant responsibility, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how Technology & Cyber operates.
