The role ensures systems are deployed safely, configured to specification, and remain operational and compliant through routine testing, fault diagnosis, and remedial works. What You Will Be Doing Install and commission IP/analogue CCTV (cameras, NVRs/DVRs, VMS, PoE switches, wireless links, cabling, containment, power). Deploy and configure rapid/mobile CCTV towers (mast setup, solar/battery/generator integration, 4G/5G routers, VPNs, remote access). Install temporary barriers and hoardings (including surface mounted or anchored solutions) per method statements and site layout drawings. Configure video analytics (motion, line crossing, intruder detection), camera fields of view, focus/iris, and recording retention. Label, document, and hand over with as built diagrams, IP addressing plans, and O&M packs. Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM)-visual inspections, firmware updates, function tests, replay validation, UPS/battery tests, and CCTV health checks. Conduct fault finding (network, power, storage, camera hardware, barrier integrity) and complete corrective actions to SLA. Complete test sheets, barrier integrity logs, and maintain asset registers. Verify evidence quality (export test clips, confirm time sync/NTP, verify watermarking where applicable). Work to RAMS, site permits, and relevant standards (e.g., site rules, electrical isolation, work at height). Ensure installations meet design specifications, data protection obligations (signage, viewing angles), and project security requirements. Maintain neat, secure terminations and safe cable management; ensure barriers meet stability requirements and do not obstruct egress. Keep accurate records; close out defects with root cause notes and photos. Liaise with Site Management, H&S, and IT/Networks to plan installs and outages. Brief subcontractors, oversee hired equipment, and coordinate deliveries/collections. Provide end user training (basic VMS use, evidence export, incident reporting). Support security incident response (rapid redeploy, evidence retrieval). Proven experience installing and maintaining CCTV systems (IP preferred: ONVIF, PoE, VMS platforms).
