Are you a skilled Plaster Room Technician looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic healthcare environment? As a Band 5 Plaster Room Technician, you will play a vital role in the care pathway by applying and removing plaster casts, splints, and other orthotic devices. Working closely with clinical teams, you will ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and comfort. This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position. Main duties of the job The post holder will carry out a full range of plaster/orthotic/splinting/bracing applications, both routine and complex, provide high quality patient focused service for trauma and orthopaedic patients including paediatric and specialised casting such as Hip spkiers and Total Contact Casts. They will provide care in relation to all aspects of casting as well as basic wound care and the removal of K wires, clips and sutures as necessary. The post holder will at times be required to perform a broader more demanding range of activities e.g. making and modifying casts to suit the individual needs of the patient which will include making braces, applying plaster on babies and specialist casts for diabetic patients. Main duties of the job The post holder will carry out a full range of plaster/orthotic/splinting/bracing applications, both routine and complex, provide high quality patient focused service for trauma and orthopaedic patients including paediatric and specialised casting such as Hip spkiers and Total Contact Casts. They will provide care in relation to all aspects of casting as well as basic wound care and the removal of K wires, clips and sutures as necessary. Administer user identities and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) controls. Maintain Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and conduct periodic access reviews to support a least privilege security model. Deploy, enrol, and support Windows 11 and macOS endpoints in line with approved security and configuration standards. Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) for iOS and Android corporate and BYOD devices, including enrolment, policy assignment, application management, and offboarding. Produce and maintain standard build documentation for Windows and macOS devices, aligned to approved hardening standards. Maintain current antivirus and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) coverage across the estate and support the consistent deployment of related security tooling. Administer user accounts, licensing, and permissions across the SaaS estate, including: Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Dynamics 365, including user provisioning and role management. Retail and warehouse management platforms, including associated endpoint devices. Collaboration and productivity tools, including Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms. Support SaaS licence compliance by monitoring usage, reclaiming unused licences, and informing renewal decisions. Log, classify, prioritise, and manage IT incidents and service requests within the ITSM platform in accordance with ITIL best practice. Provide first line and second line support in line with agreed service levels. Contribute to problem management by identifying recurring issues, undertaking root cause analysis, and implementing permanent corrective actions. Carry out daily operational checks to ensure IT services remain available and effective, and respond promptly to alerts and anomalies. Administer on premises and cloud backup solutions, including scheduling, retention management, and restore testing. Administer IP telephony services. Support the full lifecycle management of workplace technology, including: Video conferencing systems, including Microsoft Teams Rooms. Managed print services. Warehouse technology, including handheld scanners, label printers, and scanning devices. Retail technology, including EPOS terminals, customer facing displays, receipt printers, and store network equipment. Manage third party supplier relationships by obtaining quotations, monitoring SLA performance, and escalating service issues where appropriate. Deliver end user training for new and existing systems. Create and maintain knowledge base documentation to support service improvement and future incident resolution. Participate in the on call rota, as required. Who we're looking for: ITIL 4 Foundation certification, or a working knowledge of ITIL practices. Microsoft certifications such as MS 102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), AZ 104, SC 300, or equivalent. CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification. Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, Cyber Essentials, or ISO 27001 control frameworks. Scripting capability in PowerShell or Bash to support the automation of routine administrative tasks. Familiarity with SD WAN, ZTNA, Zscaler, or cloud networking concepts. Experience gained within a retail, warehouse, or fast paced e commerce environment. Level 3, A level, or equivalent work experience in an IT related discipline.
