About Amro Data Labs
Amro Data Labs is a specialist intelligence, AI and automation consultancy for the real estate investment and asset management sector. Our flagship client, Amro Partners, is a high-growth European real estate investment firm focused on the Living Sector.
Our team works at the intersection of data science, AI/ML, engineering, and automation to deliver institutional-grade decision infrastructure.
About the Role
We're looking for a fast-learner, early to mid-career Data Engineer to join our growing London team and help power our real estate market intelligence platform. Working alongside our Data team in our London office, you'll design and maintain the ETL pipelines, scrapers, and transformation workflows that capture millions of data points across the UK and Europe daily.
This is a hands-on engineering role: you'll be building pipelines, shipping production code, and shaping how we work with data, not just maintaining what's already there.
We operate a hybrid working model, with team members typically in our London office around 3 days a week. Exact arrangements may vary by team and manager. We're open to considering visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines using Python and GCP, supporting daily ingestion of rental and availability data across multiple geographies.
Develop and maintain Python-based web scrapers (Playwright, BS4).
Write and optimise SQL transformation workflows (Dataform, BigQuery) to turn raw scraper output into clean, analytics-ready datasets.
Build and maintain LLM-driven workflows within our ETL pipelines, including sensible checks for output quality, hallucination, and graceful failure.
Implement data quality and validation frameworks across our extraction and transformation layers to ensure integrity at scale.
Collaborate closely with the wider Data team and cross-functional stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
Stay current with developments and best practices in data engineering and bring them into how we work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related role.
Strong Python skills, including object-oriented programming and building production ETL/ELT pipelines. 3+ years of professional, hands-on experience is ideal.
Strong SQL skills, able to write and optimise advanced queries for transformation and analytics. 3+ years of professional, hands-on experience is ideal.
Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms. GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Firestore, Dataform) is preferred, but equivalent experience on AWS or Azure is welcome. We care more about depth than the specific provider.
Experience working with web scraping libraries (Playwright, Scrapy, or similar).
Working knowledge of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, or similar) and how to integrate them into data pipelines.
Familiarity with Git, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or similar).
Experience with NoSQL datastores (Firestore or similar).
Strong problem-solving instincts and good written and verbal communication.
Experience with data testing frameworks (Pytest, Great Expectations, Dataplex).
Preferred Additional Skills
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted IDEs and LLM-powered coding tools is desired.
Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Familiarity with machine learning or data science concepts.
Certified GCP Data Engineer.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Technical Stack
You'll be working within (and contributing to) a stack that includes:
Languages & libraries: Python, SQL, YAML
GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run Jobs/Functions, Cloud Build, Cloud Scheduler, Firestore, Dataform, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, Dataflow, Compute Engine

Founding Data Engineer Our Mission Human time and effort is the rarest thing in the universe. The fact that so many people hate what they do for work is a disaster on so many levels. How many people live quiet lives of misery? How many generational talents do we miss due to circumstance? Our mission is to close the gap between Talent & Opportunity. We believe that work, and being productive, is part of the human condition, that regardless of AI, human passion, ingenuity and a desire to do things means that work will always exist. We are building Dex to create a future where technology helps every individual to understand their strengths, interests and unique abilities, and to connect with opportunities where they can thrive, because more people doing things they love leads to a better, happier and more productive world. We're starting by connecting the world's most ambitious software engineers with the companies that deserve them. The Role Dex runs on data. Our matching, our product decisions, our growth, our commercial bets all depend on understanding what's actually happening across the business, and right now that intelligence lives in too many places. This is a founding role to own the data foundation of Dex end to end: the data models underneath everything, the pipelines that connect our systems, and the data platform that the whole company (and our agents) builds on top of. We use agents for a huge amount of our analytical work, which means the quality of our data layer is a force multiplier. Get it right and every person and every agent at Dex gets faster and sharper. You'll own how data is modelled, how it flows between our systems, and how internal teams self serve on top of it, building on what's already driving the business rather than starting from a blank page. As the first dedicated data hire, you'll set the standards and build the function out behind you as Dex grows. It's a chance to define how an AI native company builds on its data from the ground up, in a market with a real dearth of well built data foundations. We think there's a generational company to be built in this space, and we believe it's going to be Dex. What You'll Do Core data modelling: Design and own the core data models that everything else depends on, making them clean, trusted and easy to build on. Modelling at source: Work inside the product and engineering codebase to ensure data is captured and structured correctly from the start, before it ever reaches the warehouse. Pipelines: Build and maintain the pipelines that connect our systems, so data flows through the business correctly and reliably. Self serve platform: Make the data platform genuinely self serve, so product, growth, commercial and ops teams (and our agents) can answer their own questions without coming to you. Agents as consumers: Treat agents as first class consumers of the data layer, structuring data so they can do analytical work accurately and at scale. Metrics that matter: Partner with the team on the metrics that matter, from acquisition and activation through to matching quality and commercial performance. Answers, not just queries: Turn ambiguous business questions into the right data model, the right metric and a clear answer. Standards: Set the standards for data quality, definitions and instrumentation across Dex. What we're looking for You've built the data foundation for a consumer product or marketplace before, and you know what good looks like at scale. You're an engineer and an analyst. You can model and pipe the data, and read what it's telling you about the business. Comfortable reading existing code and finding your way through a codebase you didn't write. You can pick up how a system models and emits its data, and confidently make changes within it. Fluent across a modern analytics stack (a cloud warehouse, a transformation layer, orchestration and BI), with views on what to use when. We're open to changing our current choices and want someone who can tell us where they're right and where they aren't. Commercially and product minded. You care about the metric and the decision it drives, not just the query. You think about the platform, not the one off answer. You build things other people (and agents) can stand on. Intelligent, ambitious, with strong judgement. A good person who's fun to work with and makes things happen without being asked. What we offer Above market salary - we're building a world class team and believe pay should match that ambition. Significant equity - we want this to be the last job you have to take. Full private healthcare & dental - because life happens and we want to support you. Fertility benefits & enhanced parental support. Gym membership & wellness benefits. Claude tokens - lots and lots of Claude tokens. Regular socials, offsites and an annual trip. MacBook Pro + team kit. A "whatever you need" approach to tools and support.

Architect predictive anomaly detection systems and AI-driven test generation engines that evolve alongside our software, turning the test suite into an intelligent system that learns from past regressions. Collaborate with engineering leadership to drive continuous improvement in software development and test processes, ensuring that quality practices scale with the organisation. AI is fundamental to our culture - it's not just a tool, but a core part of how we work, collaborate, and innovate. We expect all team members to embrace AI in their daily work and continuously find new ways to use it effectively. Skills & Experience: Strategic Execution: 7+ years in software test engineering, with a proven track record of architecting testing strategies for complex, regulated systems (embedded, real-time, or SaMD). Regulatory & Risk Authority: Deep working knowledge of IEC 62304 and ISO 14971. Proven ability to design 'compliance-as-code' workflows that integrate risk controls directly into the CI/CD pipeline and automate regulatory evidence generation. Technical Proficiency: Advanced Python and C/C++; extensive experience building scalable test infrastructure for both embedded hardware and cloud-side data pipelines. Cultural Leadership: Demonstrated success in mentoring software engineers and driving a 'quality-first' culture through TDD, static analysis, and automated quality gates. Cybersecurity & Documentation: Strong experience in cybersecurity requirements (e.g., IEC 81001-5-1, FDA cybersecurity guidance) and rigorous documentation management for regulatory submission. Nice to Have Experience testing real-time Linux or RTOS-based products. Background in MLOps, including validation of model drift, dataset governance, and automated performance evaluation. Expertise in managing complex build environments (e.g., CMake, Bazel) or cloud-native infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS/GCP). Direct experience navigating FDA Q-Sub or MHRA pre-submission processes. Experience with hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop test environments. Benefits: Company equity plan so all employees share in the success of the company Salary-sacrifice pension scheme Private medical, dental and vision insurance (medical history disregarded) Group life assurance at 4x annual income Comprehensive mental health support, including unlimited access to 1:1 sessions with trained professionals Unlimited holiday allowance (+ bank holidays) and one week of remote working per quarter Lunch voucher (£10) every day for JustEat and free dinner on those days where you need to work later Twice weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and an extensive selection of snacks and drinks YuLife subscription, allowing you to turn your daily steps and meditation into discounts at a range of stores

QA slows the world down. Flaky tests kill trust, stall releases, and bleed engineering velocity. Duku AI is ending that era. We're building autonomous agents that think like engineers: they run every critical user journey, catch failures before users do, and self-heal as the codebase evolves. Real AI teammates, not test scripts that break on impact. We're venture-backed and led by operators who've scaled Meta's testing infrastructure, launched Uber's global playbooks, and grew Deliveroo from zero to hypergrowth. We know what elite execution looks like and we're hunting for one more builder to help us rewrite the rules of software quality. What You'll Do You will own engineering execution end-to-end. You will take ideas from zero to production. You will help define the technical DNA of the company. Ship fast, learn faster: We deploy daily, not monthly Talk to users, shape the roadmap: Sit in the trenches with founders on calls that define what we build Train AI agents: Design LLM-powered testers that explore, learn, and adapt in real time Own the stack: Python, TypeScript, cloud infra, from commit to production Turn prototypes into production: Run real experiments on models, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives without guardrails. What We're Looking For Relentless drive: You execute fast, adapt faster Startup scar tissue: You've shipped product with no safety net Fluency with AI/LLMs: LangChain, vector stores, prompt engineering Product obsession: You care more about outcomes than outputs Ideal Background There's no perfect pedigree. We hire for mindset, not credentials. That said, you might have: Shipped AI features in prod Built something from 0 to 1 Thrived in chaos with high ownership Why This Matters Software is accelerating. QA hasn't kept up. Autonomous testing is inevitable, and we're building it. Five years from now, every high-velocity team will rely on AI agents like ours to ship faster, safer, and smarter. At CoMind, we are developing a non-invasive neuromonitoring technology that will result in a new era of clinical brain monitoring. In joining us, you will be helping to create cutting-edge technologies that will improve how we diagnose and treat brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving the lives of patients across the world. The Role: The Software Engineering team at CoMind spans the full stack of a regulated medical device company from embedded and real-time systems through application software, ML inference, GUI, DevOps, and test engineering. It is a team that builds across every layer, working to medical device software standards and shipping software that has to perform reliably in clinical environments. As a Senior/Staff Software Test Engineer, you will define the quality and verification strategy across CoMind's entire software stack from embedded real-time systems to cloud-side data pipelines. You will move beyond task-level execution to architect the infrastructure and 'compliance-as-code' processes that provide the engineering team with high-velocity, high-confidence validation. You will serve as a key technical authority, ensuring our software not only meets stringent IEC 62304 and ISO 14971 standards but does so through sustainable, automated design. You will function as the technical authority for software quality. Your goal is to move CoMind beyond traditional V&V, architecting a self-validating system that integrates safety, regulatory compliance, and high-velocity development. You will be the bridge between Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Software Engineering, ensuring that quality is an inherent attribute of our technology rather than a post-development checklist. At CoMind, all team members work at least 4 days per week in the office, plus a flexible work-from-home day. This role is based in our London (Kings Cross) office. Responsibilities: Architect a scalable, high-fidelity testing infrastructure that enables continuous validation. Champion 'design for testability' across the entire engineering stack, influencing system architecture to ensure critical safety and performance requirements are verifiable by design. Define the end-to-end V&V strategy for the product lifecycle. Quantitatively map software verification evidence directly to system-level safety risks (ISO 14971) to create a 'compliance-as-code' environment that drastically reduces time-to-submission for FDA and other regulatory bodies. Drive a 'quality-first' engineering culture by mentorship. Lead training and initiatives on Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD best practices, and automated quality gates, ensuring that the engineering team's velocity is sustained by high-confidence automated processes. Lead the development of AI-augmented test strategies.

Define necessary profiles to execute this strategy. Promote effective working patterns and proactively flag issues with team dynamics to foster a productive environment. Nurture younger colleagues to grow their skillset and guide their professional development. Own Research work-streams at a high-level to deliver outcomes. Align priorities with problem stakeholders, internal and external. Set the technical direction for the stream and apply judgement and taste to drive progress. Plan roadmaps with clear milestones for key decisions and outcomes. Organise and guide the more junior members of the team to effectively execute and deliver against this roadmap. Communicate purpose and key outcomes to raise awareness across the company and create opportunities for use and deployment. The below activities in particular. Work closely with our research scientists and simulation engineers to build and deliver models that address real-world physics and engineering problems. Design, build and optimise machine learning models with a focus on scalability and efficiency in our application domain. Transform prototype model implementations to robust and optimised implementations. Implement distributed training architectures (e.g., data parallelism, parameter server, etc.) for multi-node/multi-GPU training and explore federated learning capacity using cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise services. Work with research scientists to design, build and scale foundation models for science and engineering; helping to scale and optimise model training to large data and multi-GPU cloud compute. Identify the best libraries, frameworks and tools for our modelling efforts to set us up for success. Discuss the results and implications of your work with colleagues and customers, especially how these results can address real-world problems. Work at the intersection of data science and software engineering to translate the results of our Research into re usable libraries, tooling and products. Foster a nurturing environment for colleagues with less experience in ML / Engineering for them to grow and you to mentor. What you bring to the table Enthusiasm about developing machine learning solutions, especially deep learning and/or probabilistic methods, and associated supporting software solutions for science and engineering. Ability to work autonomously and scope and effectively deliver projects across a variety of domains. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse issues, identify causes, and recommend solutions quickly. Excellent collaboration and communication skills - with teams and customers alike. MSc or PhD in computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, software engineering, or a related field, with a record of experience in any of the following: scientific computing; high-performance computing (CPU / GPU clusters); parallelised / distributed training for large / foundation models. 4 years of experience in a professional industry setting, where you have been instrumental in most of the below: scaling and optimising ML models, training and serving foundation models at scale (federated learning a bonus); employing distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Dask) and high-performance computing frameworks (MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, Triton); employing cloud computing (on hyper scaler platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP); building machine learning models and pipelines in Python, using common libraries and frameworks (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, PyTorch, JAX), especially including deep learning applications; building or using C/C++ for computer vision, geometry processing, or scientific computing; following and promoting software engineering concepts and best practices (e.g., versioning, testing, CI/CD, API design, MLOps); container ising and orchestrating compute tasks (Docker, Kubernetes, Slurm); writing pipelines and experiment environments, including running experiments in pipelines in a systematic way. What we offer Build what actually matters Help shape an AI native engineering company at a formative stage, tackling problems that genuinely matter for industry and society.
