The Full Stack .NET Developer will play a key role in the development of new digital products that extend and enhance Copley Scientific's established software platform. Working within a regulated scientific environment, the successful candidate will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality, and well-tested software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative software projects, influence technical direction, and support the continuous improvement of both development practices and user experience across Copley's digital product portfolio. Location: Nottingham, UK (scope for hybrid working) Main Duties & Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Product Development these include: Demonstrating and upholding the Company's Core Values of Excellence, Innovation, Ownership, and Care. Developing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across both mobile and back-end software layers, in line with established platform standards and conventions. Implementing secure authentication and session management approaches appropriate to a regulated pharmaceutical software environment. Contributing to architectural decisions and supporting the development of technical standards and best practices within the software team. Participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, Jira management, and progress tracking against structured delivery plans. Maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation, including architecture notes, API guidance, and onboarding materials within Confluence. Collaborating with Product, QA, and Compliance teams to ensure software solutions meet applicable regulatory and quality requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11 where appropriate. Proactively identifying opportunities to improve code quality, development processes, and the overall user experience of Copley software products. Acting as a voice of software engineering across the business, contributing technical insight to product planning and prioritisation discussions. Skills & Qualifications Required: You must have the following qualities, skills and experience: Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience. A minimum of 3 years' professional experience developing with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/8+), with evidence of successfully delivered projects. Strong proficiency in Angular and/or TypeScript. Proven experience integrating with REST APIs within existing production codebases. Solid understanding of secure authentication patterns, including token handling and session management. Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines as part of standard development practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences. Well-developed problem solving skills, with a proactive and analytical approach. Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Highly computer literate, with good working knowledge of modern software development tools and environments. Experience working within a regulated environment (e.g. GMP, GLP, ISO 9001). Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Full driving licence. A genuine interest in science, technology, and innovation. A positive and growth oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn, develop, and contribute within a collaborative team environment. Experience working within pharmaceutical, laboratory, or medical device software environments.
