Cloud Platform Engineering Lead - Azure/Platform Ownership/IaC

A leading London Market Insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineering Lead to take full ownership of its cloud platform strategy and engineering capability. This is a newly created, high impact position within a modern, forward thinking technology environment, offering the autonomy to shape cloud best practice and drive platform excellence across the organisation.

You'll work closely with the Enterprise Architect, senior technology stakeholders, and cross functional engineering teams to design, build, and evolve a secure, scalable, and automated Azure cloud estate. This is a hands on technical leadership role - not people management - ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, architectural thinking, and deep technical problem solving.

You'll be a great fit for this role if:

• You have extensive experience designing and operating cloud environments, ideally within the insurance sector
• You bring years of hands on cloud engineering expertise, primarily across Azure
• You've built and owned cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code, including life cycle management of Terraform or similar tooling
• You have a strong background in platform engineering, cloud architecture, automation, and modern DevOps practices
• You have deep technical understanding

This is a permanent opportunity paying £90k-£110k + Excellent Bonus requiring 3 days a week onsite in central London.
