Workday Integration Consultant (API & Integration Architecture)

Purpose
Acts as the consultative integration specialist for Workday, advising HR and IT on how to interact with Workday using standard APIs and best-practice patterns, without building bespoke solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on Workday integration approaches for HR-driven events (eg job title changes, employee life cycle updates)
- Define how Workday should be called (APIs, events, payloads, sequencing) rather than building custom integrations
- Guide HR and IT teams on Workday integration best practices, patterns, and constraints
- Ensure integrations align to existing enterprise architecture and avoid unnecessary customisation
- Work closely with ServiceNow and Azure Logic Apps teams to ensure clean hand-offs into the integration layer
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of Workday data models, APIs, and integration patterns
- Proven experience advising on Workday integrations in complex enterprise environments
- Architecture-level mindset consultative rather than hands-on build focused
- Experience working alongside HR teams with active roadmaps and frequent change
- Ability to challenge approaches constructively and early (before build commitments)
Profile Required
- Senior, self-sufficient consultant, no hand-holding
- Comfortable operating across HR, IT, and integration teams
- Able to embed into HR-led programmes and influence direction early
- Experience working with globally distributed stakeholders (including India-based HR teams)
