IT Support Engineer - Immervox, a growing Managed Service Provider based in Basildon, Essex is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their friendly and professional team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the role:

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support to a diverse client base. This role combines remote support with regular onsite visits, providing variety and hands-on experience across different environments. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring clients receive clear communication and timely resolutions in line with service level agreements. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9am 5.30pm.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support across client environments
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering clear and professional communication
  • Support end-user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot networking infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
  • Maintain and support Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Active Directory
  • Manage and support virtual environments using Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Monitor and troubleshoot backup solutions and system performance
  • Carry out system upgrades, patching, and security updates
  • Implement and support VPN solutions
  • Use remote monitoring and management tools effectively
  • Attend client sites for installations, troubleshooting, and project work
  • Produce accurate technical documentation and reports
  • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support when required

About you:

As the successful IT Support Engineer, you will have at least 2 3 years experience in an IT support role, ideally within a Managed Service Provider environment, with strong technical knowledge across Microsoft technologies, networking, and end-user support. You will be a confident problem solver with excellent communication skills and a client-first approach, able to build strong relationships while delivering high-quality service. You will be organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times. You will also bring experience or exposure to areas such as networking solutions, VoIP and telecoms platforms, and ideally hold or be working towards relevant IT or Microsoft certifications.

A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, along with a willingness to travel to client sites and provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.
