Python Engineer

We're recruiting a Python Engineer to support a major public sector digital automation programme.

You'll be building and improving Python-based automation services that use AI (OCR/LLMs/document processing) to remove manual effort from high-volume workflows.

What you'll be doing:

• Building Back End Python services and automation pipelines
• Applying OCR and LLMs to real-world document processing
• Working with AWS (Lambda, S3, monitoring) in live environments
• Supporting and improving production systems

What we're looking for:

• Strong Python engineering experience (production systems)
• Hands-on exposure to AI/ML (OCR, LLMs, document analysis)
• AWS experience (serverless or containerised services)
• Comfortable supporting live services in an agile team

This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical problems with Python and applied AI.
