We're currently supporting a well-established player within the financial technology space as they look to expand their London-based engineering function. They are seeking a capable Software Engineer with solid experience delivering production-grade systems, ready to step into a role with increased responsibility and real business impact. You'll be working on critical, revenue-influencing platforms within a dynamic and fast-evolving environment.

What they're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
• Around 2-5 years of hands-on development experience with Java
• Prior exposure to complex, high-performance systems within financial services or comparable sectors

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale applications that are directly utilised by Front Office teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders across trading, product, and engineering to deliver effective technical solutions
• Play an active role in shaping technical direction, enhancing system stability, and maintaining strong engineering practices
