Location: Hampshire - 5 days on site

Are you a Network Engineer looking to work on production LANs and global WANs in a high-security environment? We are seeking a hands-on engineer to support existing networks, implement new infrastructure, and lab/test emerging technologies. The ideal candidate is comfortable with CLI-driven configuration, network security, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support LAN and WAN architectures
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
• Implement and manage VPNs and network security infrastructure, including NGFWs (Next-Generation Firewalls)
• Build and maintain data centre networks (Leaf/Spine architecture or similar)
• Work with high assurance IP encryption (HAIPE) devices
• Automate network deployments and orchestration using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
• Document configurations and implement designs from High-Level and Low-Level Design documents
• Work with whitebox/open networking infrastructure (Linux-based network OS)

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with LAN/WAN architecture
• Strong understanding of OSPF & BGP routing protocols
• Hands-on experience with VPNs and Firewalls
• Knowledge of data centre network design
• Experience with network automation/orchestration tools
• CCNP or equivalent qualification

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) such as NSX
• Exposure to whitebox switching/open networking platforms
• Familiarity with high-assurance encryption device
