Data Engineer

Lynx Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation within financial services searching for a Data Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-first data platforms that drive innovation and data-led decision-making.

You will work across the full data life cycle - engineering secure, high-performance pipelines and modern data platforms that enable analytics, AI, and enterprise insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines
• Design and manage data warehouses, lakes, and cloud-native platforms
• Implement monitoring, governance, security, and regulatory compliance frameworks
• Deliver high-quality datasets to analytics and business teams
• Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (minimum 2:1 classification)
• Strong SQL & Python
• Hands-on ETL/ELT experience (eg, Matillion, Talend, Fivetran, ADF)
• Experience with Snowflake (AWS/Azure/GCP beneficial)
• Strong data modelling knowledge
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions

Desirable

Airflow, dbt, Kafka, CI/CD, BI tools, governance platforms, financial services experience.
