IT Manager

Your new company

Hays are supporting a growing business in South Wales to recruit a new IT Manager. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of around c£60,000 and hybrid working between two offices in Swansea and Cardiff. This is a newly created role, and you'll be responsible for leading a technical team, shaping and implementing IT strategy to meet business needs and be involved in leading on IT modernisation, service improvement and digital transformation. Key Responsibilities:

• Set and deliver a technology strategy aligned with business goals.
• Track emerging technologies and assess their relevance.
• Lead the technical team and manage external partners.
• Drive innovation and digital transformation.
• Oversee cloud, cybersecurity, and data infrastructure.
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.
• Deliver technology projects on time, on budget, and to requirements.
• Align initiatives with organisational priorities.
• Manage technology-related change and support staff adoption.
• Address morale issues linked to new systems.
• Create and manage IT budgets aligned to business needs

Requirements

• Proven background in technology leadership, including software development, systems architecture, and strategic planning.
• Strong technical vision, innovation skills, and analytical problem-solving.
• Effective leadership and project delivery capabilities.
• Clear and confident communicator.
• Understanding of our technology stack, cybersecurity principles, and data management.
• Experience working in a Microsoft house, managing technical teams
• Experience working in the retail sector with ERP software would be beneficial.
