CNC Programmer Dudley£16.00 - £19.00 per hour (DOE)Full-Time PermanentWe are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join a well-established and growing precision engineering company based in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking business offering competitive pay and long-term stability.The RoleAs a CNC Lathe Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

• • Your duties will include:

• • Programming CNC lathes (Fanuc controls preferred) from technical drawings

• • Setting and operating machines to produce small and medium batch work

• • Editing, modifying, and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency

• • Selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures

• • Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards

• • Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks

• • Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and thread gauges

• • Ensuring machines are maintained and kept in safe working order

• • Working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets

This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working independently and taking ownership of their work from start to finish.Candidate Requirements

• • To be successful in this role, you will have:

• • Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator

• • Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls (essential)

• • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

• • Experience working to tight tolerances

• • Good understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds

• • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality

• • A proactive and reliable work ethic

Experience working within precision engineering or subcontract environments would be highly advantageous.What's On Offer
