CNC Lathe Turner - Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: St Leonards-on-SeaHours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per weekContract: Permanent Our engineering client is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Turner to join their precision manufacturing team. This role involves programming (preferred but not essential), setting and operating CNC lathes producing high-quality components in a range of specialist materials.Key Responsibilities

• • Programming (where applicable), setting and operating CNC sliding-head and multi-axis fixed-head lathes

• • Producing precision components from stainless steel, aluminium and exotic metals

• • Machining bar diameters ranging from approximately 1mm to 200mm

• • Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring strict quality standards

• • Optimising machining processes for efficiency and accuracy

• • Maintaining safe working practices and equipment care

Skills & Experience Required

• • Proven CNC turning experience in a precision engineering environment

• • Strong setting and operating capability; programming experience advantageous

• • Familiarity with Fanuc controls highly desirable

• • Experience working with a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminium and exotic alloys

• • Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances

• • Reliable, detail-focused team player with good problem-solving skills
