Junior Business Intelligence Developer - 12-month FTC
London (Hybrid)
Up to £66,000

My client are a global leader in market infrastructure, providing access to financial and commodities markets through innovative technology and data-driven solutions. With a strong international footprint and a reputation for excellence, they support price discovery, liquidity, and high-quality market data for clients worldwide.

They are now looking for a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to join their Technology function on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role sits within the Data Services team, supporting Global Broking while also working across other areas of the business.

This is a hands-on BI role focused on delivering high-quality reporting, dashboards, and insights that help senior stakeholders understand business performance and identify growth opportunities.

You'll work closely with business users and technical teams to support global data initiatives, turning complex datasets into clear, reliable, and actionable insights. A large part of the role involves developing and maintaining dashboards (primarily using Qlik), ensuring data accuracy, availability, and usability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support Business Intelligence solutions, with a strong focus on Qlik dashboards

  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver collaborative data projects that support commercial decision-making

  • Ensure dashboards remain stable, accurate, and free from outages, with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement

  • Monitor and maintain day-to-day data extraction and refresh processes

  • Manage and balance BI priorities, escalating conflicts or risks where necessary

  • Work with teams across the organisation to understand services, products, and data flows

  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders

  • Provide insights that help identify market gaps, trends, and new opportunities

  • Operate with professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail in all deliverables

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience building data visualisations (Qlik preferred, but Power BI or Tableau also considered)

  • Strong SQL skills, including querying multiple data sources

  • Experience with data Scripting, modelling, shaping, and working with XML/JSON

  • Solid analytical skills and experience producing reports using BI tools

  • Confidence presenting dashboards to users and supporting training and adoption

  • Familiarity with IT best practices and structured ways of working

  • Ability to investigate issues, troubleshoot problems, and deliver solutions efficiently

  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership

Desirable:

  • Experience administering Qlik Cloud

  • Basic Python knowledge or exposure to integrating data science outputs into dashboards
