Senior ML Operations Engineer (Python)

Salary: Up to £66,000 depending on experience

Location: Manchester - Hybrid working (currently 40% on site increasing to 60% within 12 months)

We are seeking a Senior ML Operations Engineer to take ownership of how machine learning models are deployed and operated in a large scale pricing and analytics environment. This role focuses on production. You will work on Python based model and pricing deployments that run in live systems, designing the tooling and frameworks that allow teams to release changes safely, frequently and with confidence. It is not a research role and it is not purely platform engineering. The impact sits in the middle, where strong engineering judgement meets real world business outcomes.

• Own and improve Python based ML and pricing deployments
• Build and maintain shared deployment tools and frameworks
• Enable controlled and repeatable model releases
• Work closely with engineers, analysts and stakeholders
• Influence technical direction within ML Operations

• Experience working with production ML or data driven systems
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Comfort owning systems and collaborating across teams
• Clear communication and thoughtful problem solving

You will have real ownership, flexibility in how you work, and the opportunity to shape how machine learning is operationalised at scale.
