We are in a period of exclusive direct sourcing for this role and are not currently accepting applications from recruitment agencies.

The role in 60 seconds

  • Team: Information Technology
  • Location: Hybrid working from Bristol, Exeter, or Plymouth
  • Working Pattern: Full time
  • Why this role matters: This role is vital because our digital transformation strategy relies on building modern, Microsoft driven, client focused tools and data platforms that enhance efficiency, user experience and firm wide innovation.

What you'll do

You'll be joining at an exciting time, with the opportunity to help shape the future of our internal applications and automation solutions. You'll work with a knowledgeable and supportive team who are committed to helping you develop solid Power Platform engineering practices - without needing to be an expert from day one.

In this role, you'll:

  • Work closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) and IT Service teams to support and implement Microsoft Power Platform solutions aligned with our digital transformation goals.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand user needs, functional requirements, and the challenges they're trying to solve.
  • Design and develop no code/low code applications on the Power Platform to help deliver automation, integration, and improved data flows.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support a continuous delivery mindset.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation to support future development, deployment, and maintenance of Power Platform solutions.
  • Assist with testing, handover arrangements and knowledge sharing to ensure smooth service transition.
  • Support secure configuration of applications, including access controls such as Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Work with structured and unstructured information to help deliver reliable, data driven outcomes.
  • Champion good practice throughout the software development lifecycle as you continue to build your expertise.

This role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful projects from day one, while being supported with training, mentoring and structured development. As you build confidence and capability, you'll have a clear pathway to progress toward mid level and beyond. You don't need to be an expert - but you do need a foundation in Service Desk delivery/support, or another technically related role, along with a real passion and willingness to learn.

In this role you'll bring:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience of working within an IT or software development team.
  • Exposure to Agile and Scrum environments.
  • A curious, analytical approach to problem solving.
