Platform engineering at Fanvue exists to remove friction for every other engineering team. This role focuses on building the infrastructure, tooling, and foundations that allow product teams to ship faster, more safely, and with confidence at scale.

The Role

We're hiring a Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate the core systems that power Fanvue's engineering organisation. You work on infrastructure, developer experience, CI/CD, observability, and core platform services that enable teams across the company.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to unlock velocity, reliability, and scalability across the entire product.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain core platform infrastructure across cloud services and environments

  • Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments

  • Design and operate observability, monitoring, and alerting for platform services

  • Create self-service tooling and platform primitives that enable teams to ship independently

  • Partner with product teams to understand infrastructure needs and remove blockers

  • Improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency across core systems

  • Respond to incidents, conduct post-incident reviews, and drive long-term fixes

  • Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and best practices

Who You Are

  • Strong experience as a platform, infrastructure, or backend engineer

  • Comfortable working with cloud platforms and distributed systems

  • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD systems, and monitoring tools

  • Product-minded and empathetic to developer experience

  • Comfortable owning production systems and on-call responsibilities

  • Clear communicator who collaborates well across engineering teams

  • High ownership mindset and bias toward long-term improvements
