The RoleThe role is for a Chief Engineer overseeing the engineering aspects within the Maritime Strategic Capability Agreement (MSCA) portfolio. The follow on MSCA contract has just been signed with a contract length of at least 10 years.

The work is delivered through the Platform Design and Life Support Integrated Delivery Team (PDLS IDT). As MSCA Chief Engineer you will ensure the delivery of the technical programme is robust and the work is conducted in accordance with the relevant QinetiQ procedures and guidelines.
The role will be both customer and internally facing. In terms of customer facing, you will be the point of contact for the MOD Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) Chief Engineer, will sit on the Joint Programme Office board and will support the Technical Co ordination Groups for the different capability areas (TCGs). In terms of internal facing you will work with a range of people to ensure the smooth running of the contract including the Project Management community, the MSCA Chief Technology Officer, Technical Leads and the Functional Management community.

This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main UK locations. However, most projects will be based at our Haslar site.
