This role is for a Senior Cloud Engineer focused on a Core Data Platform in London (Hybrid). It offers a 12 month FTC at £75 000 - £95 000. Key skills include Snowflake, AWS, Terraform, and data engineering experience in cloud native environments.

PE backed media & data technology business building an in house engineering capability around a live, revenue critical data platform. This senior, hands on role focuses on running, improving and scaling a complex cloud data environment as ownership moves in house.

• Production Snowflake data warehouse
• Data pipeline reliability and correctness
• AWS infrastructure, cost and performance
• Clean rooms and data collaboration workflows
• CI/CD, monitoring and operational standards
• Clear documentation and runbooks

• Snowflake
• AWS (Lambda, S3, Glue, RDS, IAM, VPC)
• Terraform
• GitLab
• AWS native monitoring and security tools

• Senior Cloud or Data Engineer with experience in cloud native environments
• Operated Snowflake at scale in production systems
• Strong focus on reliability, performance and cost control
• Comfortable in evolving systems and environments
• Enjoys hands on responsibility over pure design work
• Early stage team influencer, shaping processes and practices

This is a real platform already generating revenue. The problems are practical, not theoretical. You'll have clear ownership, direct influence, and the opportunity to be close to the system and decisions, building a proper in house engineering function around a live data product.
