The role

As an Enterprise Architect, you will shape the technology direction of a global organisation delivering critical services in defence, aerospace and engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise wide decision making, modernise IT capabilities, and ensure technology solutions directly support Babcock's strategic ambitions. Day to day, your work will help protect national security, enable major transformation programmes, and strengthen the digital backbone of the organisation all while offering you exceptional professional growth and exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Represent enterprise architecture at executive forums, providing insight that shapes major strategic decisions.
  • Define and communicate the enterprise architecture vision, ensuring alignment with long term business goals and digital transformation priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, advocating for sustainable, scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Establish architectural principles, standards and policies that support consistency and quality across all technology domains.
  • Create and present enterprise architecture and solution outlines, ensuring full traceability back to business strategies.
Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable experience designing technical solutions for large scale, complex environments.
  • Strong background working with technologies such as Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Oracle.
  • Proven experience in system architecture and technology governance.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, convert them into actionable roadmaps and translate complex business needs into scalable solutions.
  • Understanding of modern technologies including microservices, APIs, data platforms and cybersecurity principles.
Qualifications
  • Technical qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA or TOGAF.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
