Working with a boutique consultancy delivering complex change across regulated and critical environments who partner with leading organisations across both the public and private sector, helping them modernise while embedding sustainable ways of working.

They are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Assurance and Enterprise Architect Lead to act as the intelligent client for complex SAP programmes. This is a senior role, bridging the gap between business and technology.

As a SAP Consultant you will ensure architectural coherence, adherence to standards, and protection of the client's long-term interests, while providing guidance and guardrails for SI design decisions. This is an opportunity to shape the SAP landscape for maximum scalability, future-readiness, and alignment with business strategy.

Especially interested in consultants who have experience working within the higher-education, local authority and charity sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the intelligent client, providing oversight, challenge, and assurance of SI delivery and relationships.
• Ensure design and build assurance across SAP programmes.
• Review customisations, technical debt, and overall solution fit.
• Own the end-to-end SAP architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, integration, data, and security standards.
• Define and enforce architectural guardrails to guide SI and delivery teams.
• Develop long-term roadmaps and ensure the architecture remains scalable, extensible, and aligned to business priorities.
• Protect the client's long-term interests while enabling pragmatic, deliverable solutions.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and vendor teams to ensure architectural coherence across all SAP modules and platforms.

Required Experience & Skills

• Senior experience in SAP Enterprise/Solution Architecture across S/4HANA, Success Factors, and related modules.
• Proven experience acting as intelligent client or technical assurance lead on complex SAP programmes.
• Strong understanding of SI delivery models and governance frameworks.
• Expertise in architectural standards, security, integration, and technical design.
• Experience reviewing and managing customisations, technical debt, and long-term architecture impact.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence.
