Location: Newcastle upon Tyne & Durham (On site)

Overview
We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our professional and welcoming team in Newcastle.
Brown & Brown Newcastle provide specialist products to Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of our clients.
The position of Business Development Executive is a key role and requires a professional and business-like approach. We focus heavily on training and development and a full induction and training plan will be provided to successful applicants.
Day to day:
- Marketing our extensive range of insurance products and services to new and existing clients by phone and email.
- Effectively following up on prospect data, online inquiries, and marketing campaigns to build up and nurture a long term pipeline of sale opportunities.
- Contacting businesses to generate new business sales opportunities.
- Appointment setting.
- Visiting clients with account executives.
- Use specialised tools, social media and news channels to identify business issues which help position their product and services to give them a competitive advantage.
- Rapport building and strong relationships with prospect and clients.
- Attend local networking events and assist with our events throughout the year.

Your Experience:
- Insurance Broking experience (but not essential) or transferrable skills from other business sectors
- Clear, confident, and persuasive communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- High level customer service skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Takes initiative, sets personal goals, and pushes for continual improvement.
