Business Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 1-2 days/week onsite) Contract Length: 6 Months Day Rate: £475-£500/day Engagement: Full-Time Contract

Overview:

A leading insurance intermediary is embarking on a strategic transformation of its placement operations and is seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering this change. This full-time contract position is ideal for someone with strong experience in structured commercial insurance markets and a deep understanding of broking workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Placement Process Transformation

  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to define and optimise placement workflows.
  • Support solution design, testing, and implementation phases, including training and post-launch support.
  • Improve processes across document creation, order handling, endorsements, and post-placement activities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a conduit between broking teams, operational leads, technology partners, and external vendors.
  • Lead workshops and interviews to gather and translate business requirements.

Process & Systems Analysis

  • Map current and future state workflows using tools like Visio and JIRA.
  • Work with broking platforms and CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ensure alignment with internal governance and industry conduct standards.

Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain RAID logs and contribute to project documentation.
  • Deliver insights and metrics to support continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience in insurance broking, ideally within structured or regulated markets such as the London insurance ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of placement processes across the full lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps, Visio, and Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and operational risk frameworks.
