Software Development Lead

Are you a hands-on technical leader who thrives on transforming platforms and setting engineering standards?

This is an opportunity for a Software Development Lead to shape a major modernisation programme and steer the evolution of a software product into a modern, scalable, API-driven architecture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a growing development team whilst remaining hands-on.
• Modernise and replatform a Legacy application
• Build and enhance Back End services, RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX and delivery teams to deliver intuitive, future-ready features.
• Define engineering best practices, architectural patterns and coding standards.

What You'll Bring

• Strong full-stack developer with hands-on experience across multiple programming languages.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring developers.
• Legacy migration experience (essential).
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, integration patterns and Back End architecture.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
