Cloud Architect - GCP

We are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to work with one of our leading clients in the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and deliver enterprise-scale cloud solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Lead and manage cloud migration initiatives from on-premise environments to GCP.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to cloud security, compliance, and governance standards across all environments.
• Implement and manage GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, including workflows, approvals, and deployment automation.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud performance and costs through proactive tuning and observability tools.
• Stay up to date with GCP product updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
• Document architecture designs, cloud configurations, processes, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Cloud Storage.
• Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, compliance frameworks, and governance models.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
