Embedded Software Manager

c£75,000 + Up to 21% Bonus + Strong Benefits

If you're an experienced embedded software leader who enjoys building high-performing teams and delivering safety-critical, real-time systems this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a role with real impact.

You'll lead a talented Real-Time Actuation Software Group responsible for developing software used across major missile programmes. You'll work closely with Systems, Electronics, Algorithms and Verification teams - driving quality, structure and delivery across the full lifecycle.

• 
  Leading and developing a team of 5-10 embedded software engineers
• 
  Owning software delivery, budgets and planning
• 
  Ensuring process adherence for safety-critical development (DO178C or similar)
• 
  Driving continuous improvement in tools, methods and efficiency
• 
  Working hands-on with requirements, design, verification and embedded C development oversight

• 
  Strong software leadership / project leadership experience
• 
  Background in embedded software (C) within real-time or safety-critical environments
• 
  Experience managing budgets, schedules and change
• 
  Solid understanding of software lifecycle and configuration management
• 
  Someone who can inspire teams, collaborate across engineering, and keep delivery on track
