Back-end Software Engineer - 6 month contract £470 outsideIR35 - Scotland

We're supporting a leading public sector organisation on a high-impact digital transformation. They need a talented Back-end Software Engineer to help enhance and support a critical safeguarding platform used nationwide.

You'll work with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD tools in an agile, collaborative environment. The role is mostly remote, with occasional visits to a central Scotland office.

What you'll do:

• Develop and improve secure, resilient back-end services
• Collaborate with skilled teams to deliver new features
• Support and troubleshoot production systems
• Share knowledge and drive best practices

What you'll bring:

• Strong Java & Spring Boot experience
• Microservices, REST API, and cloud (AWS) skills
• CI/CD, Docker, and testing know-how
• Great communication and teamwork
