IT Technician

£30K + 26 days annual leave, time and a half payment (roughly £288 per month extra)

Hands-on role including Hardware Builds, Networking, Servers etc

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Requirement for Night-Work (between the hours of 9pm-6am) once per month which is paid at time and a half - this would be done from home.

Our Client is a well-established Technology Company to the Hospitality Sector that has recently been acquired by a global business. They are based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, and provide IT Solutions to restaurant groups like McDonalds, Popeyes, KFC, Taco Bell and many more large fast-food chains.

About this Role

To support their ongoing growth and expansion, several roles have been created within their team for IT Technicians to help deliver IT Service solutions to their customer. We are looking for several candidates, including an IT Technician - details below.

This is a fabulous opportunity for an IT Technician with 1-2 years of experience and brings with them some form of IT Qualification/Training, such as a CompTIA.

As an IT Technician, your role will be very varied and hands-on involving day to day tasks such as:

• Hardware troubleshooting, break-fix, testing and configuration (Tablets, Tills, Laptops, Routers, Servers, Switches etc)
• Configure networks, servers, switches, and computer hardware
• Carry out scripting with tools such as PowerShell
• Remote server support and upgrades
• Maintain documentation and guides for troubleshooting
• Support operating systems such as Windows, Desktop & Server
• Deploy apps using Virtual Machines (VMWare, Hyper-V etc)
• Occasionally attend customer sites at the start of projects
• Participate in night support once per month

What are we looking for?

• 1-2 years of experience in IT
• IT Qualification such as CompTIA Network+, Computing Degree etc
• Basic understanding of Network Fundamentals
• Knowledge of virtualisation would be hugely advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of humour
• Ability to work nightshifts (re-imbursed)
