Job Overview:As a Technician 3 with expertise in field engineering and technical support, you will collaborate with our client's TRG Technical Team. You will be responsible for supporting client locations, primarily Birmingham, by assisting existing engineers with on-site technical tasks.
Location: Birmingham Business Park, 2010 The Crescent, Birmingham B37 7YS
Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £18.87(PAYE) OR £25.15 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
Contract Length: 10 Nov 2025 - 30 Sep 2026
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support at Aurora's Birmingham location and occasionally at other Midlands sites.
- Assist existing engineers with hardware/software troubleshooting, installations, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements and client protocols.
- Maintain documentation and report progress to the TRG Technical Team Manager.
- Collaborate with site contacts and client stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in IT support or field engineering.
- Experience working in secure environments.
- Ability to work independently and travel across multiple sites when required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
