Network Manager

£70K per annum + car allowance + bonus + benefits
THE BUSINESS:
C4S Search are partnering with a leading national organisation. They are seeking an experienced Network Manager to lead the implementation, design and optimisation of enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, manage a skilled team of network professionals, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of business-critical systems supporting a complex, high-volume environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Manage and mentor a team of onshore and offshore network engineers, ensuring performance, collaboration, and technical growth.
- Oversee configuration, maintenance, and security of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers to ensure network reliability and compliance.
- Drive automation and efficiency through tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and scripting, improving operational consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align network strategy with business transformation and digital initiatives.
KEY SKILLS
- Deep technical expertise in Cisco technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, Cisco Umbrella) and SD-WAN architecture.
- Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS) and network security best practices.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level network operations and leading technical teams in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills with the ability to balance strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Cisco certification at a minimum of CCNP level; CCIE or equivalent expert-level certification preferred.
