We're looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure & Cloud team - supporting the delivery, optimisation, and security of our hybrid Microsoft Azure and private data centre environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Configure, manage, and maintain core infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premises data centres, ensuring uptime, performance, and security.
• Design and optimise hybrid environments integrating Azure AD, Azure File Sync, DFS, and virtualisation technologies.
• Implement and maintain Azure Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and App Service Plans to deliver secure, high-performing, scalable services.
• Lead incident and problem management, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and driving root cause analysis.
• Support and improve backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across hybrid platforms.
• Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, or Azure Automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams across Modern Workplace, Networking, Security, and Software Development to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to system documentation, process improvement, and internal knowledge sharing.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend new tools or approaches to enhance service reliability and scalability.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years' experience in IT Systems Engineering across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure services - including compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and hybrid identity configurations.
• Experience implementing security, monitoring, and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Solid knowledge of virtualisation, networking, and backup technologies.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
• Relevant certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • VMware Certified Professional (or equivalent)
