About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join Darke & Taylor, an award-winning MEP contractor delivering high-quality design, installation and maintenance services across some of the most prestigious projects in the Southeast.

With continued growth in our Mechanical & Electrical Services, we are looking for a talented AutoCAD/BIM Technician to join our expanding BIM/CAD team. This role offers excellent long-term career progression and training in modern digital engineering technologies including Revit and Navisworks.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with our engineering teams, you will:

  • Produce accurate 2D M&E coordination drawings using AutoCAD
  • Create detailed, coordinated technical sections and layouts
  • Import/export files between AutoCAD and Revit (NWC, NWD, IFC, DWG formats)
  • Work with linked Revit models using shared coordinates
  • Assist with Revit family creation and M&E service coordination to installation level
  • Support the delivery of innovative MEP design solutions on a wide variety of technical building projects

Skills & Experience

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience in the M&E or building services sector (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years' AutoCAD experience producing high-quality technical drawings
  • Experience using Revit and Navisworks (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive, team-focused approach
  • Confidence to take ownership of tasks and support project delivery
  • Willingness to attend site or project meetings if required
