A leading defence organisation in London is seeking a Principal Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer to join their growing systems and software engineering division. This team delivers critical mission systems that underpin the backbone of UK defence capability, supporting nationally deployed, multi-domain command and control solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, conduct, and reporting of V&V work packages to demonstrate compliance of hardware and software systems against defined requirements.
- Promote and implement best practice across the full V&V lifecycle in line with corporate and industry standards.
- Supervise and mentor V&V engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery of scoped work packages.
- Support system requirements analysis, design reviews, integration, and acceptance activities.
- Prepare and review V&V management plans, processes, metrics, and documentation.
- Conduct investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Apply IVVTQA principles throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Report progress and findings to project and engineering management teams.
Skills & Experience
- Degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent experience in Systems, Software, or Control Engineering.
- Proven track record (5+ years) in planning and executing IVVTQA activities within a systems engineering environment.
- Experience working to military, defence, or industry standards.
- Proficient in DOORS or similar requirements management and test tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers.
