Are you a Data Engineer eager to design and build scalable, cloud-first data platforms that power innovation across the financial sector?

About the Role

You'll play a key part in shaping the future of data within a leading financial services environment - designing and delivering robust, secure, and scalable platforms that enable smarter business decisions. Working across the full data lifecycle, you'll build high-performance data pipelines and deliver clean, reliable datasets that fuel analytics, AI, and regulatory insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer and optimise data pipelines - build, test, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
  • Design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions - leveraging technologies such as Snowflake to support enterprise analytics.
  • Ensure data reliability and governance - applying best practices in security, lineage, and compliance (GDPR and financial regulations).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Support innovation in analytics, predictive modelling, and AI initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience with SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
  • Proven track record building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Matillion, Talend, FiveTran, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing Snowflake data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP experience desirable).
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or Prefect.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other visualisation tools.
  • Background in financial services or other regulated environments.

Why Join

  • Work on transformational data projects using modern tech stacks.
  • Be part of an award-winning consultancy environment with exposure to major enterprise clients.
  • Enjoy career growth opportunities - from hands-on engineering to leadership and architecture pathways.
  • Benefit from a supportive, collaborative team culture with continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
