The Role

You will be the vital first line of defence for the internal team, ensuring the systems run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Internal Tech Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support face-to-face, via phone, web-based tools, and email for the internal users.
  • System Setup & Repair: Assist with the setup and repair of the internal hardware and software systems.
  • Learning & Growth: You will have the opportunity to work with the larger technical team, learning valuable Wi-Fi and networking skills to grow your expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

They need someone with an enthusiastic, proactive approach and a passion for IT. Previous work experience is not essential!

  • Foundational Knowledge: A base level of technical knowledge, including familiarity with Office 365 and Windows Server functionality. Understanding of basic Wi-Fi and wired patching is useful.
  • A Keen Interest: A strong interest in IT or IT-related subjects (preferably honed from further education or on-the-job experience).
  • Problem Solver: A proactive approach, critical thinking, and good analytical skills are required for success.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle colleagues of varying technical ability professionally and effectively.
  • Organisation: Excellent time management and organisational skills are a must.
  • Advantageous Knowledge (But not required): Understanding of Active Directory, Microsoft Management Portals, backup solutions, or virtual environments.
