South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking an exceptional IT and Digital Leader to deliver an ambitious digital strategy that spans every business area. You'll lead on systems and applications, IT infrastructure, cyber security, and operations.
We're modernising our IT landscape, transforming how we work, enhancing customer experience, and driving efficiencies through emerging technologies. You'll be at the forefront, overseeing critical IT transformation projects and managing both Capital and Revenue budgets.
About the Role
You'll lead a customer-focused IT and Digital team, driving performance, service development, and continuous improvement. Working with the Assistant Director - IT/Digital and Transformation, you'll shape and deliver the Digital Strategy as a key driver of organisational change.
As a strategic advisor, you'll guide stakeholders on cost-effective IT use, champion innovation, and ensure compliance with cyber security, legislation, and best practice. You'll manage infrastructure, budgets, supplier relationships, and major projects including AI and automation. Strong internal and external partnerships will ensure alignment with council policies and legal obligations.
About YouYou'll have a relevant degree or professional qualification (or equivalent experience), with strong knowledge of digital technologies, trends, and their practical application. You'll bring proven experience in public sector IT and digital service delivery, budget and supplier management, and the use of AI and automation to boost productivity. You'll also be skilled at building networks to stay ahead of emerging technologies and support their implementation.
