Job Description

We're working with a fast-growing subscription business on a mission to make a real difference in people's (and pets') lives. They're now looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their expanding technology team and help build scalable solutions as the business continues to grow across the UK.The roleYou'll take ownership across the stack - from backend services and APIs through to modern front-end applications - ensuring systems are performant, secure and scalable. Alongside hands-on development, you'll play a key role in technical decision-making, mentoring, and shaping best practice within the engineering team.Key responsibilities
  • Full stack development using Node.js, TypeScript and React
  • Build and maintain APIs, microservices, data pipelines and integrations with third-party systems
  • Develop React components with SSR (Next.js) and Storybook
  • Architect solutions covering databases, cloud infrastructure and user-facing applications
  • Optimise for speed, scalability, security and reliability
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and lead on architectural decisions
  • Mentor junior developers, lead code reviews and uphold coding standards
  • (Strongly preferred) Manage CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, serverless architectures, monitoring and observability
Key skills & experience
  • 5+ years' backend experience with Node.js / TypeScript
  • 5+ years' frontend experience with React
  • Experience with Next.js, Storybook, Tailwind CSS
  • Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and API development
  • Solid AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudFormation)
  • CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation/Terraform/CDK), Docker/serverless (highly desirable)
  • Experience in agile teams and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous mentoring/leadership responsibilities welcomed
