Software Design Engineer - Automation Permanent SuffolkWe are recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering firm looking for a Software Design Engineer to join their innovative automation team.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software for industrial automation and control systems.
• Implement HMI and PLC programming using platforms such as Siemens and Mitsubishi.
• Work collaboratively with project and electrical design teams to deliver bespoke automation solutions.
• Participate in the development and testing of new software functionalities.
• Assist with commissioning and provide technical support when required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong experience in automation and software design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of HMI design, industrial communication protocols, and system integration.
• A creative problem-solver with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
