ABOUT THE CLIENT:Our client is a specialist technical consultancy with a longstanding presence in the National Security space. Their teams work at the heart of the UK's most vital defence and intelligence operations, delivering high-impact solutions across secure environments. They are looking to onboard a DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to support continued delivery within one of their most critical programmes.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER ROLE:As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join a dynamic onsite team responsible for the operation, improvement and automation of a secure virtualised environment. You'll provide operational support across a broad tech stack including VMware, Windows, Linux and containerised platforms, proactively managing critical infrastructure for high-assurance systems. You'll also play a key role in change implementation, automation, stakeholder interaction and environment stability.

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Previous experience in IT Operations within secure / regulated environments (e.g. defence or national security)
• Strong knowledge of VMware (ESXi, vCenter, NSX / VCF)
• Windows and Linux administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI)
• Backup and monitoring tools (e.g. Veeam, Nagios)
• Awareness of Docker/Kubernetes, Networking and Cyber Security principles
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and supporting DevOps teams
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
• Active DV Clearance is essential
