The Role

We're seeking a Lead Fullstack Engineer to own the Front End architecture and elevate the B2C user experience across our digital products. This is a high-impact role requiring technical vision, hands-on expertise, and leadership to drive innovation in a rapidly evolving environment.

As part of a cross-functional, agile team, you will shape the Front End roadmap, champion best practices, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. You'll lead the migration from a Legacy monolith to a modern microfrontend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) ecosystem, leveraging React, Next.js, TypeScript, and advanced communication protocols such as GraphQL and gRPC.

What You'll Own

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, performant, and maintainable Front End architectures that support diverse driver journeys and complex policy workflows.
• Drive innovation by setting standards for UI/UX, accessibility, and Front End engineering practices across the organization.
• Mentor, inspire, and grow a high-performing team of engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and fostering collaborative problem-solving.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centric digital experiences.
• Advocate for CI/CD best practices, ensuring rapid and safe delivery of features with automated testing, code reviews, and observability.
• Influence technical strategy, tooling, and processes to continually raise the engineering bar and accelerate delivery velocity.
• Lead efforts in evaluating and integrating AI tools and automation that enhance developer productivity and product innovation.

About You

• Extensive commercial experience building complex Front End applications with React and Next.js, with strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Proven track record of architecting scalable Front End systems and migrating Legacy codebases to modern frameworks.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and a passion for building inclusive user experiences.
• Experience working with GraphQL and gRPC APIs in production environments.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, comfortable mentoring engineers and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Strong advocate for engineering best practices, test-driven development, and continuous delivery.
• A proactive learner and early adopter of AI-powered tools, keen to experiment and leverage new technologies to boost team performance.
