About the roleAs a Desktop support Technician with expertise in the IT Domain, you will collaborate with our client's IT Support department. You will be responsible for responsible for installing and configuring desktop hardware to ensure efficient and reliable workstation setup across client sites.Tell me more, tell me more Our client is currently looking for a recruit to joining their current team, below are the job details for your reference:You can also ask our friendly recruitment team for any questions you may have about the role, between 09.00am till 17.00pm Monday to Friday.Shifts:Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)Roles and Responsibilities:Hardware Installation & Setup

• Unbox and install desktop hardware and peripherals at designated workstations
• Connect essential cables including power and network
• Perform power-on self-tests to verify hardware functionality

System Configuration

• Initiate automated system builds as per provided instructions
• Execute simple scripted post-login configurations

Logistics & Coordination

• Ensure all equipment is correctly placed and connected
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace during and after installation

Flexibility

• Work variable shift patterns based on business requirements
• Adapt to different installation environments and schedules

Other stuff we're potentially looking for:

• Basic understanding of desktop hardware and peripherals
• Ability to follow technical instructions and scripts
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required.

• This is a 6-month contract.
• A daily rate, in-scope IR35, of £13.33 (PAYE) OR £17.30 (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
• A full UK driving licence is mandatory.
• This role is completely on-site and requires travel.
