Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy Lead to support the development and delivery of business strategy, organisational design, and operational transformation across multiple business areas.

The successful candidate will partner with executive leaders and senior stakeholders to shape strategy, develop business cases, and deliver organisational change initiatives that drive performance and value-for-money outcomes.

This role requires a deep understanding of working within regulated or highly governed environments and the ability to work seamlessly across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory frameworks.
  • Conduct diagnostic reviews of business areas, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Develop strategic options and recommendations, presenting business cases and value propositions to senior stakeholders.
  • Support the design of target operating models and organisational structures to drive efficiencies and improved customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of strategy into operational delivery.
  • Provide insights and analysis to inform executive decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Contribute to risk, compliance, and opportunity management processes to safeguard operational resilience.
  • Ensure strategic programmes and initiatives demonstrate value for money and measurable outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering business strategy and organisational design within regulated or complex environments.
  • Strong background in business case development, strategic options analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Expertise in working across multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with senior leaders to drive alignment and change.
  • Experience supporting programme delivery and ensuring operational and strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present at executive and board levels.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in sectors such as utilities, infrastructure, public services, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, compliance processes, and performance reporting.
  • Professional qualifications such as APM, MSP, MBA, or equivalent are advantageous
