Hybrid working: 3 days on site, 2 days remote.

Client based in central London, west end.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years working for a financial institution
• Proven experience in establishing and embedding data governance processes at enterprise/department wide level
• Proven experience in leading data related projects at enterprise/department wide level from inception to execution
• Proven experience in defining and leading data quality initiatives providing tangible business value
• Proven experience in working with, presenting to and securing buy-in from senior audiences
• Proven experience in implementing or managing a data catalog
• A natural passion for delivering high quality work, where your eye for the small details helps you to go for the extra mile
• Excellent knowledge of data manipulation and Scripting tools (SQL and others a plus)
• Entrepreneurial attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Fluent in English

Data Governance & Quality Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Data Management, you will work in a dynamic environment with strong exposure to senior leadership including the Chief Technology Officer and the Chief Operating Officer and in close collaboration with the business and technology teams. You will be responsible for the Client data governance strategy and projects. You will also ensure that high quality data are delivered to the business by designing, developing, and performing data quality checks, including on extra-financial sustainability-related datasets.

Responsibilities:

• Defining and implementing an enterprise data governance strategy
• Leading projects in the data governance space with a short-term focus on data catalog and data quality check systems
• Establishing a data owner & data steward community collaborating on data management initiatives and supporting our data-driven transformation
• Working with business owners to design data quality testing strategies and implement data quality checks and reports
• Understanding the economic meaning of the data to develop state-of-the-art algorithms to detect outliers and clean historical as well as new incoming data
• Producing data quality trends and KPIs
