Role: Deskside Engineer
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire (Onsite)
End Client: IT Manufacturer
Salary: £25,000 + Company and site benefits including free parking & a subsidised canteen.
This is a Full time role working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Day to day activity on this site includes resolving and supporting a wide variety of laptop, desktop hardware incident issues and requests, network incidents and requests and stock management tasks while minimising disruption to our users.
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will:
Provide 1st and 2nd level desktop/laptop support
Monitor the call management system to update and close calls when resolved
Provide support for; Walk-in Service Centre, Installs, Breakfix, Refresh, Training Rooms, Conf Rooms/AV Support, and Digital Signage
Troubleshoot office software issues
Support the Wireless office environment
Participate in Project based assignments when required
Participate in hardware refresh activity adhering to strict refresh schedules, refresh meeting attendance
Support conference room AV equipment
Be able to troubleshoot/diagnose WLAN Issues and escalate to next Level Support if required
Provide support to the end-to-end process of the Asset Management function locally
