JOB TITLE: Director - Strategy, Insights & Innovation, Cash Management & Payments (CMP)
LOCATIONS: London / Flexible
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
This is a key role in our Cash Management & Payments Solutions Team, leading on Strategy, Insights and Innovation in an exciting period of growth!
About This Opportunity
As Director of Strategy, Insights & Innovation, your responsibilities includes product strategy and insights development, market/client feedback analysis, competitor analysis and ensuring the CMP strategy is well articulated, socialised and aligned with the market growth opportunities and dynamics.
You'll work closely with our Platforms, Labs, Delivery, Channels, Payments Product team and Accounts and Deposits team to define and develop the cash management and payments strategy for our Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) division against a backdrop of a progressive UK Payments regulatory agenda and a fiercely competitive and highly innovative marketplace.
We're seeking a thought-leader with a background in strategy or consultancy in financial services who can work creatively and independently across our organisation and externally to deliver to timelines. Knowledge and experience in payments and cash management product and proposition development, the payments technology landscape, partnerships and implementing strategies is key.
This is an influential role that will give you the chance to create a tangible and valuable contribution and drive the Group forward. You'll be someone who can thrive with minimal guidance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Build and lead a successful and multifaceted team to deliver strategic change and growth in a fast-paced industry
- Contribute to the future development of CMP propositions for BCB clients to create CMP 2.0
- Developing with the CMP leadership team the strategic direction for CMP through evidence and market based intel and insights
- Building client insight for the CMP Product set to inform and support investment plans, with qualitative and quantitative indicators of success and potential indicative quantifiable value add/ benefits
- Communication of the insights for both internal and external consumption to drive product development and thought leadership
- Improve and track performance against market benchmarking/ client journey metrics /KPI s/ NPS and other relevant client satisfaction metrics
- Collaborate across the Group to ensure a joined-up Payments strategy
- Represent the Bank on relevant UK and International industry payment fo
- You'll be responsible for upholding the LBG values and champion an innovation-led culture across the wider CMP team.

What You ll Need
- Track record of leadership and delivery demonstrating a clear focus on meeting agreed business targets, priorities, and objectives - plus ability to deliver & commercialise investment projects. You'll be an inspiring leader that others will follow, communicating a range of the more complex issues and able to convey an inspiring vision and purpose.
- Large scale change - Demonstrable experience in leading client focused, groundbreaking change across a large organisation and sophisticated partner matrix.
- Experience in strategy development including statistical analysis, modelling and business case development. Proven ability to shape strategy and continuously improve the business through drawing on market and competitor knowledge and generates new and practical ways of operating to solve problems and gain competitive advantage.
- An understanding of cash management and payments products, services and operational processes and extensive knowledge of the wide variety of products options emerging.
- Risk Management & Control - Able to identify, assess, supervise, control, and mitigate risks across the business (including regulatory) and ensure effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business.
