Senior Product Development Manager - 12-month FTC

This is a great job for someone who has had experience in product development and product management roles at asset management, consultants or associated financial service providers.

A bit about the job:

The Senior Product Development Manager will work closely with the Product Directors, ESG team and Investment Directors to develop products and service features that meet the needs of the global market by leveraging the manufacturing and distribution capabilities of Aviva Investors. You will be required to support the Product Director, Complex Products, to ensure that product initiatives are delivered to a high standard and ensure product launces are managed efficiently and to budget. You will need to establish strong relationships with internal distribution and investment management stakeholders across asset classes. You will be accountable for identifying and implementing product modifications, closures, mergers, or other changes as a result of customer, investment, or regulatory requirements. A Key part of the product development process will involve the maintenance of a detailed risk register in relation to client and company risks, and effective resolution of outstanding issues.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory developments including ESG concepts including SFDR and SDR.
  • Strong, demonstrable market knowledge.
  • Prior experience of owning and driving completion of new product proposals and presenting these to senior governance committees for approval.
  • Track record of successfully designing and launching products as well as managing and culling products, including full business case preparation and presentation.
  • Able to maintain a good knowledge of current industry trends, market dynamics and competitive positioning of Aviva Investors' product offering to be able to provide ongoing advice and support to the sales, client service and operations teams on product matters.
