As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage.

Key Accountabilities:
- Work closely with the project teams to understand forthcoming requirements and equipment needs, scoping out requirements
- Ensure designs and specifications for new Pilot Plant processes and future Capital development projects are developed, working closely across multiple groups including Research Development and Quality (RD&Q) Product Developers and Global Engineering where required
- Develop tender packages, ensuring they are prepared, reviewed and evaluated in line with requirements and budget
- During Pilot Plant Installation Work ensure the safety of contractors during day to day activities, planning and communicating necessary down time periods, ensuring site acceptance testing, end user training and final documentation are all in place
- Own the existing pilot plant equipment and infrastructure, modifying where required to support the delivery of a large portion of growth across R&D programs for tablets, countlines, Health & Wellness and consumer convenience
- Take ownership of the Mondelez RD&Q engineering standards, pressure systems and Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP's), identifying any process bottlenecks and constraints delivering plans to rectify, influencing and eliciting management commitment to implement solutions
Profile and Experience:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- An established background and practical experience as a Project Engineer, ideally within chemical engineering or similar discipline
- End to end Project management skills encompassing the buying, processing, installation, commissioning and modification of equipment, working up tender documents and developing functional design specifications etc
- Previous experience of working with third party suppliers/contractors as well as cross functional teams, negotiating and delivering associated costs in line with budget
- Drive for results with strong influencing skills at all levels, able to challenge the status quo, pursuing tasks with a strong drive and need to finish
- Strong problem solving agility, able to work independently and use rigorous logic and analytical skills, even with missing or ambiguous information
